The International Poster Competition in Chaumont was launched in 1990 to highlight poster design on an international scale. The posters submitted by graphic designers for the competition
went on to create a collection which now consists of more than 45,000pieces kept in Chaumont. The international jury is demanding and credible as befits a competition aimed at professionals. The identity of the competition is defined by the writing of the authors, the topicality of the forms and the quality of the response to the commission. The final selection is presented in a panoramic exhibition reflecting the best of contemporary poster design. The jury awards a grand prix and a prix espoir for artists under 36.
The prix du public is awarded following an online vote, which is open to everyone.
