The Phénomènes exhibition  approaches the work of Karl Nawrot not through his unusual graphic grammar or his striking alphabets but through the tools,structures, models and often fictional sculptures that generate the potential of this set of visual phenomena. Adept at games of (de)construction, theme park installation, black & white apparitions, Karl Nawrot - or his mirror image Walter Warton - was resident in Werkplaats Typografie in 2006-2008 and has collaborated with Karel Martens and Mevis & Van Deursen. He has taught at the Rietveld Academie and at the University of Seoul. He won 1st prize at the Chaumont International Poster Competition in 2015 and the INFORM prize for conceptual design at GfZK Leipzig in 2016. Some

of his creations are now held in the collections at Frac Normandie Rouen. He has just released his first monograph "Mind Walks" on Rollo Press. 

The Osso project, presented for this exhibition, was selected by the Sponsorship Committee of the Fondation des Artistes which has given him their backing.
