Conte musical

Designed as a lyrical pop-up performance for family audiences, this musical tale draws parallels between Impressionist painting and French melodies from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Le Jardin de la rivière is performed by the Lilanoor company, featuring singer Harmonie Deschamps and accordionist Pierre Cussac, who created the arrangements and composed several original pieces for the project.

Colors, flavors, and timbres blend together and evolve in harmony through the seasons, encounters, and the work of Monet, whose death centenary will be commemorated in 2026. Using a giant interactive pop-up book — playful and full of surprises, created by scenographer, illustrator, and scientist Damien Schoëvaërt-Brossault — the duo embarks on an exploration of a dreamlike nature filled with countless lights, tastes, and scents.

With their pocket-sized set under one arm and their accordion on their backs, the two musicians are ready to introduce children and parents alike to these curious animals and magical flowers. Through this musical tale, Harmonie Deschamps and Pierre Cussac reinterpret, in their own way, the whimsy of Satie, the lyricism of Fauré, and the delicacy of Debussy.
