Summer School 2022

The specificity of the experimental sciences of the Image, or QUOI, lies in the transversal approach of the observing methods, somewhere between algorithmic calculations and dreamlike breakthroughs.

The Quantic and Utopic Observatory will be studying the genesis of forms and colours in order to seize the essence and the mechanisms. Our personal and poetic approach places the human being in the core of formal and more abstract expressions.

Ivan Murit and Justin Bihan are respectively the initiators of the image processing software TexTuring and Stochaster.
Whereas TexTuring enables the exploration of reaction-diffusion systems by producing forms directly influenced by the processed image, Stochaster makes it possible to create patterns generated by reaction-diffusion and to merge them with the analyzed image.
