Anja Kaiser lives in Leipzig and works as a researcher and graphic designer. Her approach to graphic design is deliberately feminist, a position she analyses from both a historical and political point of view.

As a feminist of a younger generation, Anja Kaiser addresses the questions of intersectionality and its challenges when facing our heteronormative society. With her graphic design, she primarily supports emancipatory and feminist projects and commissioners. More than a retrospective of the young designer, the exhibition exposes the rebellion and visibility of a self-confident presence of women and LBGTQI-community.

She discusses questions of representation and binary norms in societies as well as in graphic design. Writing is an important aspect of Anja Kaiser's work. It enables her to realize polyphonic and alternative narratives in which pop culture and feminism clash.

Her artwork claims solidarity and cooperation as pillars of equality. Anja Kaiser designs identities and works as a programmer for feminist and queer initiatives such as the cyber-feminist festival dgtl fmsnm, the clubbing events Balance Club Culture Festival and Cry Baby.
